I remember how fun it used to be when I played with mud. Though my mother would scold me for getting dirt on my hands, I still remember the first mud house I built with them. When I was five, my father gave me a rupee and asked me to buy my favourite chocolate from a nearby shop. I asked him, “How much will the shopkeeper return, Anagaru?” Upon receiving the answer, I would try to remember it till I bought it and came back home with a change, thus learning math through fun.
When I visit my nutritionist, they ask me to walk and exercise for 1 hour daily. But when I was a child, I never needed to do any exercise. I was a brisk and happy kid. When did I lose my happiness? Why had I stopped playing? Why have I stopped reading my favourite comics and adventure stories? Does adventure happen only in books? Or has adulthood asked me to ignore the child inside me?
On trying to find the answer to my above questions, I realised that no one except me is stopping me from unleashing the child inside me. So, it is time to make me the same energetic person as I was when I was a kid).Becoming me once again was the biggest achievement in my life. I started playing badminton; reading books in the evening was a regular routine; I never forgot to have a smile on my face; and I tried to appreciate all my near and dear ones.
As kids, we tend to listen to others, but when we grow up, we do the reverse; we expect everyone else to listen to what we say. When it’s time to say I am going back to childhood, here I am trying to listen to all my near and dear ones, and I wish to speak less.
In conclusion, I insist that all readers find the child inside them and start living without losing themselves in this fast-moving world. Stay happy as long as you live, as happiness is the key to success. Try to find the key to unlocking the success awaiting you.
