It’s been long since I penned a post in recent times. This month, the season of love is the right time to speak about something relevant about love. As women & mothers we care much for our family, friends and show affection to everyone around us. So, think about the U inside you and pour Love unconditionally!! Unconditionally??
Everyone are using this phrase frequently but how do one have to define unconditional. Defining & measuring love is definitely not possible hence it is unconditional. Selflessness and completely accepting something as it exists could be one way of looking at the term unconditional love. Do we need any reason to love ourselves? No, all that we need is just love. Firstly greet your body with all gratitude you have as it the reason you are very much alive( of course you are reading my post) so duly pay respect to yourself through loving your body unconditionally. Yes, love yourself at first place no matter how to look up to yourself. You care for everyone and so to functionally take care of others you need to take care of your body.
So, are just thinking to going for Zumba or yoga or hitting the gym? Wait take a breathe, ease it, close your eyes and recall all your daily routine in weekdays & weekends. Did you find any extra/ free time? If yes. You must be really lucky. Don’t hesitate and join in any class of your choice. Your body will be happy, so will your mind and of course you will be happy. Give some unconditional love to your body.
If No is your answer. Then don’t worry you are just not alone. Including myself there are many of us just like you who don’t have or find it difficult to make some extra free time as they prioritize others over themselves. To those like us, small steps can make a big impact on the long run. So, begin with walking by steps and avoid lifts. Just walk how much ever you can, start with 10 steps and increase five steps everyday there after. Sit down on a mat in folded leg position to chop all those veggies for cooking. You see this is a good yoga posture( padmasana). What we generally do is either sit on chair in dinning table or simply stand and cut vegetables. Almost we spend 1 hour in a day to chop vegetables so turn that into a yoga time.
Initially it may sound weird but trust me when you sit and do your chores you find more comfort and the lower part of body gets its much needed rest. Just as I mentioned are few examples of how you can rearrange your routine into a health conscious one. Thus your health when given proper care your body gets its unconditional love! At this point you may be feeling that once your body is loved that’s the end. Stop right here. It’s just the beginning. What about the soul inside? Give a similar attention to the soul inside you. You mind is a reflection of how you are treating yourself. If you are always happy & filled with Joy then definitely you are respecting your self well. If there are mood swings very often then undoubtedly you are not giving enough attention to what your soul is seeking. How to know what the soul is seeking?
Small Exercise to Think about you
Here is a small exercise ( come on nothing much complex) just grab a paper & pen, start to note down your hobbies and wishes in two separate columns. Now look at it these are all those things which you soul is expecting you to do. It may be a simple idea of buying new plant for your balcony garden, do a canvas painting or even go shopping on non offers day or trekking with friends or simply just hanging out with friends without any reason, it could be anything. Its all what you were wishing to do some day when you complete all your routine chores and have enough balance in your bank account. Firstly, try to mitigate the mind set of inter relating money,work & wish. For smaller wishes & hobbies which make you happy money or time is never an hindrance. Yes, believe me it is just YOU who is creating the hindrance for you. Secondly, try one day to avoid the least priority routine and utilize that extra time to carryout your hobby or wish. You would see that you are still having time to do that least priority routine you have skipped. The time is same only you need to adhere to a schedule and manage your time accordingly so that you soul becomes happy and feels loved by yourself. So, there is always a way to respect and love your soul unconditionally. To like ourselves and give importance to oneself is the first step towards accepting love from around the universe. Great scholars have said the universe is one within you. So start loving yourself unconditionally then you will see the change in you. When you change, the universe around you changes on its own. Let be unconditional and get unconditionally love!!!
