It’s always a challenge for women especially if you are a mother to find your “ME” time. Most of us juggle between work life and family life and end up being upset over not having enough time to look after ourselves, either you don’t have time for the dance, yoga class or maybe you are missing your gym, walk time. Don’t worry you are not alone, many of us face a similar situation in our day to day life. Even I had the same feeling before blogging, as a mother my responsibilities increased due to which I quit my job and got occupied with daily household chores. It was one fine day that my husband told me “rather than worrying about what happened in the past you may start to plan your future because that is in your hand”. I am just passing the same words to you all.

Here are a few time management ways by which you can help yourself.

  1. Make a routine plan
  2. Work on routine
  3. Take help from family
  4. Do together
  5. Sleep balance

1. Make a routine Plan

We all have plenty of works & challenges to face but within 24 hours. So to complete all the works we must have a daily chores/ work plan. For those who go to work or do work from home obviously, you have your schedule at the same time you always end up in missing out on any of your tasks. To avoid such a situation it is better to have a scheduled plan or Todo plan in hand ready. Truly it works I first plan and make a note of all the works I do & I see that I have a few hours extra even after completing all my daily tasks. Yes, when you write down your mind will immediately start to plan & will arrive the means to execute it. Either invest in a dairy or DIY to maintain your checklist. You can do a weekly or monthly routine plan according to your convince. Thus you can have some “Me time” by completing your tasks as per plan.

2. Work on routine

Read it loud ”work on a routine”. Always keep a track of what you have to do and prioritize your work accordingly. If your daily routine requires minimum 2-3 hours see to that how possibly you can pre-plan your cooking, cleaning tasks. For instance, if you cook for 1-2 hours allocate the remaining 1 hour for cleaning on one day likewise you can do vice versa too.

Have an exercise or yoga or walking included in your routine. Make sure in a couple of months it should become a part of your daily routine. A healthy body is the one which is ready to obtain a healthy mind. So, watch your physical activities you know what you will be enjoying your “ME” time with it.

3. Take help from family

Take help when needed. Everyone needs rest. When you feel tired you must take a break from what you are doing relax first and then you can carry on. If you & your spouse both are working, sit talk to him about how you are feeling and the need for a break to you so that your spouse can take few home responsibilities and manage them so as you can get some ” me ” time.

If only one of you are working you can easily make use of the weekend to take a break. Always understand that sharing creates a better result. If your elder kid is around and your younger one enjoys his/her sibling company then you can engage them both in some play activity and thus you can buy some me time. If you are so lucky enough and your parents stay with you then you can ask them for help.

4. Do together

Be it cooking, gardening or cleaning try to involve your kids, spouse in it. It is fun when you do things together and at the same time kids can learn a lot through these simple activities. Our parents too did the same we were allowed in the kitchen and we would the vegetables and pulses and start asking “mom what is this? How it comes to our home? & many more” thus we learned about what & why we eat the veggies & so on. So let’s not stop ourselves from allowing our kids to explore and enjoy their childhood. e Remember a happy child is a less troubling child. Make your kids happy see in return you will be rewarded with your ME time.

5. Sleep Balance

Wondering what is sleep balance? It’s just making sure you get enough rest to ensure you are ready to continue your chores for the following day. Having a proper sleep time and following by practicing daily helps you a lot. Do you think “me” time is all about just having some extra time to do leisure or personal activities?. Well, it is not just about that a proper sleep schedule is also a part of your ME time. Never omit or avoid your sleep for any reason. Proper sleep ensures that your body organs & your mind gets relaxed thus you can be ready for the following years to come Always have a policy of going to bed early and rising early this way not only you can get your me-time but you can keep a good check on your health too.

Stay healthy, Sleep properly and never forget to ask for help in the time of needy. A small help can make a big difference. I hope you liked these managing ideas. See you all with another interesting article until then stay healthy & make your own “me time”.
